Welcome to the 21st century. Our Industrial rationality has taken us a long way. We wallow in material and technological affluency. At the same time we are becoming painfully aware of the disconcerting consequences of a system of accumulation based on dominance and exploitation.

We are powerful, yet feel lost. Our systems and institutions are failing us, driving us ever harder into a direction of imbalance, unsustainability, and injustice. It is the poor who pay the price first, but in the end we will all pay. This predicament is caused chiefly by how we think, how we organize our reality, and our particular place in history.
